The following text and screenshots coincide with the Deploying Cisco Spark Hybrid Services guide, and specifically with the Call Service Prerequisites. Additional articles will cover the Call Service Aware Deployment Steps and the Call Service Connect Deployment Steps.

1 - On Cisco Unified CM, set the mail ID of the user or import it from the LDAP directory

The User Mail ID can be found in UCM Administration > User Management > End Users > User. In the image, the Mail ID is being synchronised via Active Directory LDAP import.

2 - On Cisco Unified CM, associate a directory URI to the user’s directory number

To associate a directory URI to a user's directory number.

  1. In UCM Administration, choose Device > Phone.
  2. Find the device for which you want to associate.
  3. Click on the existing Directory Number
  4. In the Directory URI section, enter the URI and select a partition
  5. Click Save

The Directory URI in this article is synchronised from LDAP using the mail attribute, as can be seen in the screenshot above. More information on URI dialling here - Configure URI Dialing

3 - On Cisco Unified CM, set the telephone number attribute and associate it with the user’s primary directory number

The Users Telephone number attribute can be found in UCM Administration > User Management > End Users > User. See previous images to observe the setting, it is being synchronised via Active Directory LDAP import. On the end users profile select the Primary Extension, as shown below.
